Wellness routines are everywhere—scroll through Instagram and you’ll see everyone’s version of “morning rituals” and “nighttime resets.” But there’s something fascinating about stepping into the wellness world of someone like Miranda Kerr. She’s not just a supermodel; she’s a founder, mother of three, and an eternal poster child for glowing skin and balanced living. When she talks about celery juice, meditation, or dry brushing, it doesn’t feel like just another trend—it feels like a philosophy that’s been lived and refined.
So, I decided to do a little experiment. I wanted to take her routine, try it on for size, and see what I could fold into my own lifestyle. I already do most of what she swears by. But there was one thing I had been dodging for far too long that her interview finally pushed me to face head-on — meditation. The thing I needed, desperately, but always found excuses to avoid.
This is how I merged Miranda’s wellness playbook with my own, the little tweaks I made, what worked beautifully, what I wasn’t so convinced by, and the one practice I’m keeping with me for the long haul.
Morning Glow: Starting the Day the Miranda Way
One of Kerr's most talked-about habits is her daily intake of celery juice. She consumes one liter of organic celery juice on an empty stomach, believing in its anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits. Initially skeptical, I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I noticed improvements in my digestion and energy levels.
While I’m no stranger to green juices, celery alone has always felt boring. But I gave it a shot. Sixteen ounces of organic celery juice first thing in the morning. And you know what? It was refreshing. Not a flavor explosion, but it did wake up my system in a way coffee doesn’t. My digestion felt lighter, and my morning energy had a cleaner edge to it.
I’ve always been more of a water-with-lemon kind of person. So while I enjoyed the detox vibe of celery juice, I didn’t love making it every morning. For me, it might stay as an occasional ritual rather than a staple. What I appreciated, though, was the intention behind it—starting the day with something nourishing instead of something that spikes stress or energy. That mindset shift is worth keeping, celery juice or not.
Skin Deep Rituals That Feel Luxurious
One thing Miranda and I share is a love for skincare that feels like a ceremony. Cleansing, serums, oils, mists—I do them all already. Skincare is my form of meditation most days. What I loved about her approach is how she layers purpose into each step: brushing skin before showering, spritzing Peppermint Beadlets, even using crystals for massage. It reminded me that the products are only half the story—the energy behind the act matters just as much.
I tried dry brushing more consistently during this little experiment. It’s one of those things I’ve done here and there, but never daily. Once I committed, I understood why she swears by it. It wasn’t just about smoother skin, but about how invigorated I felt before stepping into the shower. It was like giving myself a wake-up call without coffee.
That said, some of the product layering felt a little extra. I love a good oil and serum cocktail, but there’s a fine line between glowing and overdoing it. I don’t need six products before breakfast.
Movement With Intention
Miranda’s workout style is very aligned with mine—gentle but powerful. Yoga, Pilates, long walks, even a swim here and there. The emphasis isn’t on punishment or burning calories, but on moving to feel elongated, balanced, and strong.
I didn’t have to adjust much here, because this is how I already like to move. But what I took away was her consistency. No matter how busy, she doesn’t abandon movement. Even twenty minutes counts. That gave me a push to rethink how I approach busy days. I don’t need a full class or long workout to consider it a success. Even a walk or stretch session has its place.
Skincare: A Holistic Approach
Kerr emphasizes the importance of a consistent skincare routine using organic products. She developed Kora Organics with this philosophy in mind. While I've always been diligent about skincare, I hadn't fully embraced the idea of using products infused with crystals and positive energy. Kerr's belief that crystals can enhance skincare resonated with me, leading me to explore products that incorporate this element.
In addition to skincare, Kerr practices facial massage techniques, such as using a rose quartz gua sha tool, to promote circulation and reduce puffiness. Incorporating this into my routine has not only improved my skin's appearance but also provided a moment of mindfulness each day.
Evening Wind-Down: Preparing for Rest
Kerr's evenings are centered around winding down and preparing for restful sleep. She avoids screen time, practices gratitude, and uses calming products to signal to her body that it's time to relax. Inspired by this, I've established a bedtime routine that includes reading, journaling, and using aromatherapy to create a peaceful environment. These practices have significantly improved the quality of my sleep.
The Game-Changer: Meditation, Finally
Now let’s talk about the one thing that felt brand new for me. Meditation.
I’ve dabbled before. Downloaded the apps, listened to recordings, even sat on the floor cross-legged telling myself I’d meditate. But it never stuck. It always felt like something extra, like homework that I could skip. Miranda’s interview reframed it. She doesn’t treat meditation as optional—it’s as essential as brushing her teeth. That was the wake-up call I needed.
So I carved out real time for it. Fifteen minutes in the morning before reaching for my phone, and ten minutes at night before bed. Nothing elaborate. Just breathing, being still, letting my thoughts settle. And it changed everything.
The first few days were frustrating. My brain was loud, distracted, restless. But slowly, I noticed shifts. I felt calmer in traffic. I snapped less at minor irritations. My nights were deeper and my mornings less rushed. Meditation didn’t feel like a bonus anymore; it felt like medicine. And truthfully, it’s the one habit from her routine I’m keeping indefinitely.
I loved how holistic her approach is. Nothing in her wellness playbook is about extremes. It’s about balance, ritual, and consistency. I also liked that much of what she practices are things I already do, which made me feel validated in my own lifestyle choices. Dry brushing, mindful movement, layering skincare, nourishing mornings—it all aligns with what I believe wellness should feel like.
At the end of this experiment, I realized that Miranda Kerr’s wellness routine isn’t about copying her exact steps—it’s about taking inspiration and finding your own flow. For me, the real win was finally making meditation non-negotiable. It’s the habit that balances everything else, the missing piece I didn’t know how badly I needed until I committed to it.
Wellness is deeply personal, and what works for one person won’t look the same for another. But trying someone else’s blueprint can spark new ways of thinking, and sometimes even deliver that one practice that stays with you forever. For me, that practice is meditation. And I have Miranda Kerr to thank for the gentle nudge to finally begin.
Love,
Rae
